About

I was born in Germany. For as long as I can remember, I could not find any clothes that were suitable for me. So, at the age of 16, I began to sew my own.

After having studied art history and literature in Germany, at the age of 22, I decided to attend a course in Fashion Design at the IED (Istituto Europeo di Design) in Rome. Since then, I have remained in Italy, where I live and work.

During my art history studies, I was particularly influenced by the Bauhaus experience, not only as a concept of blending arts and crafts, but also by its minimalistic and bare style, typical of the avantgardes of the early 20th century.

The garments we allow to enter our lives, do not only dress us, they also have the function of sheltering us and revealing our deep personalities. They should never outshine who is wearing them.

I aim to give to my clients the air of self-confidence we all need. Selecting and revising, year by year, what I consider to be the definitively best pieces, I create a capsule wardrobe of “future-classics”, for women who aim to feel good. My clients are persons with a fashion-independent sense of beauty. What they wear is beyond the trends of the moment: garments they bought 10 and more years ago, are never out of fashion. As they age, season by season, they gain in beauty and character.

My work is driven by a passion for excellent materials and determined by my love for authenticity, focusing on longevity. I exclusively use natural fibre fabrics, mostly linen, cotton, wool and silk. I test them for their feel and performance, ensuring their endurance over time. I manufacture in small quantities, trying to avoid any waste.

I produce my pieces in limited editions and made to order, selecting craftsmen not only for their skill but also for their humanity.

Garments that are conceived and executed with special care and attention, are greatly treasured and can convey the inspiration with which they were conceived.
